I was home my husband came home on lunch...he noticed mine.. thank God I had 3 one right after another they didn't know if I was gonna make it or not...but after surgery due to him being there I walked out of the stroke unit in Nashville on my own 3 days later with no physical or speech therapy needed....it was a fluke my BP was good no heart trouble no previous injury they don't know why I had them it was called a Starburst stroke and I was in my early 40s way too young for that to happen my short term memory was affected abit and I still have problems with remembering some words but other then that everything is good....I thank God he was there cause normally I would have been asleep but I decided to cook breakfast for him that morning for his lunch hr.❤

Throughout my pregnancy it was healthy, no problems, towards the end I had pronominal labor for two weeks the day I went in labor I had irregular contractions didn’t think nothing of it I was 38 weeks, had no warning symptoms no blurred vision, no floaters, not even a headache…contractions got to be painful went to the hospital BP was 147/103 it truly is a silent killer I didn’t know my BP was high. after I had my baby I now have to take BP medication.

I recently had 3 strokes and didn’t know either my family noticed they are my hero’s. I am very blessed 49 years old and only memory loss as a result to them getting me help super fast. They still help me recover today

I’m sorry for your loss I miss my dad too. Cancer sucks! He looks like he was a real character- my dad sure was. Remember the good and you will feel him beside you always.

My dad is diabetic. He took some short-term insulin once he got home from work, and is you don't know, short-term brings your blood sugar down really fast. My dad meant to take long-term (if you don't know what I'm talking about look it up.) When my dad went to go take a bath, he does that every once-and-a-while. He got in the tub and about 30 minutes later we hear banging. We thought it was the neighbors. More banging. My mom goes and checks on my dad. My dad was having a seizure. "CALL 9-1-1!" my mom yelled. I grabbed her phone. My hands were shaking so bad I could hardly type the numbers. I ran outside after my mom took the phone. I sat outside rolling in the grass whhile having a panic attack.Five minutes pass and i tseemed to have taken forever for the paraamedics to arrive. My dad was taken to the hospital. He turned out fine, although he was out of it for a bit. He bit down really hard on his tongue during his seizure causing immense pain and a deep cut. I love my dad to death and that scared the crap out of me.❤

How we can see signs of the stroke if don’t know the person and how he looks daily?!

Headache, left side, saw green stars. Sharp numbing that spread. When i couldn't call out, that scared me. Garbled speech, loss of everything kinda. It repeated the next day, milder. Take it seriously. It was three years ago, i still have trouble at times.

Was he jabbed for anything in the last 2 years of the crazy times we went through ?

Years ago, my BF and I took my mom out to dinner for her birthday. Everything seemed normal until my mom dropped her fork. She picked it up and I saw that she was having trouble using it and getting food to her mouth. I immediately started ordering her to 'smile' 'stick her tongue out' 'put her arms out and raise them up' and asked her all kinds of questions she should've know without hesitation. Motor skills on one side usually suffer on one side. A smile would be lopsided, and a stroke victim may be unable to stick their tongue out straight. Then I ordered my BF to bring my mom to the curb while I went to the cashier and paid, then dashed out to get the car. I wasn't wasting time waiting for an ambulance and drove her straight to the hospital ER. She was having a major stroke and wasn't coherent by the time we reached the hospital. She was later transfered to another larger hospital where they were better suited to treat her. Had I not known what to look for in a stroke, precious time would've been lost. She lived alone and if we hadn't taken her out to dinner that night, she would likely have been alone, and help wouldn't be in time to save her. EVERYONE should LEARN the signs of a stroke and REMEMBER THEM. Strokes can occur without much warning and if you know what to look for, you could save a life and limit the damage. ❤ BTW, I learned about some signs from a post on social media!! Things you learn without even realizing it until you least expect it to pop up! 😮

I'm so sorry.. it's heartbreaking to watch someone you love so much suffer and lose the battle. I held my Dad's hand too. 🤗 Hugs
